Health Benefits

The health benefits to vegetarianism are plentyful. First of all you are not consuming the vast amount of harmful, poisonous hormones and toxins that are found in meat. This will clear your body of these toxins and hormones and you will no longer have to worry about them anymore.
Most meats, especially red meat contain a lot of saturated fat which is bad for the body and can clog up the body's arteries, which over time could lead to heart problems and maybe heart disease and heart attacks. This is not to say that vegetarians don't take in any saturated fats, because they do but they no longer take in these animal fats which are known to be carcinogenic, and so reduce thr risks of cancers and heart attacks and heart disease so long as they follow a moderately healthy mixed diet.

     Prevention of cancer

Eating meat is bad for you but in this modern world with the amount of animals being bred for meat it is getting dangerous and scientists now have evidence to clearly suggest that there is a high correlation between eating meat and its links to all forms of cancers! This is why.

Animals are kept in such terrible and unhealthy conditions nowadays because of the sheer overcrowding due to the commercial demand for meat. Animals, especially chickens are couped up so much that they are susceptible to disease and this would eventually kill them but to counter against this farmers are given them an array of powerful anti-biotics, including one that contains the most toxic form of arsenic!

A report from the U.S. department of agriculture revealed that chickens contain three to four times the amount of deadly arsenic than other poultry or meats, and it stated that if you were to eat 2 ounces of chicken per day then you would be ingesting 3.6-5.2 mg of the cancer-causing arsenic!

Another harmful product found in all meats is dioxin, an organic unstable chemical and a well known carcinogen, 95 % of our exposure to this chemical comes solely from eating animal products.

fish is also bad for you, not only does it contain carcinogenic animal proteins, dioxins and is high in environmental contaminents, it has also been found to contain mercury, which if consumed in neat form is deadly.

When you cook meat the levels of carcingenic hormomes soar and add futher to the risk of developing cancer.

These compounds can last in the body for decades and can slowly take effect on the body over time. If you cut out all meat and cut down on other animal products then you are reducing the risk to the effects of these compounds.

Live Longer

It has been scientifically proven that vegetarians live longer that meat eaters, so it shows that removing meat from your diet has a positive affect on your body, and it also suggests the view that we were never supposed to be eating meat in the first place.

Fat loss

A vegetarian healthy diet will assist in fatloss because of the decrease in saturated fats and the exclusion of animal fats. This will mean that you will have more results quicker and easier, plus, the exclusion of all the hormones present in meat may add an additional loss of fat. Growth hormones are used to fatten up the animals so that they can be slaughtered quicker, if you then eat the meat of the animals you are possibly ingesting some of these hormones. This can't be good for your metabolism. So cut out meat if you want to get slimmer!

Look Younger

All these hormones from the meat aren't doing your body any good and this will show on the outside in years to come, remember, hormones, even in small amounts can take effect over years and this is what happens when you eat meat. People who have eaten meat for the duration of their lifetime may suffer the consequences of consuming these hormones and toxins, whereas a vegetarian and vegan diet will show inside and outside greater health benefits and feel good factors that will influence the way you feel and look. While veggie eating holds many health benefits, it also has other interesting effects on the body: research shows that avoiding red meat improves the sex appeal of male body odour. Meat will do nothing but age you!

More Energy

There are a lot of saturated fats in meat, these, once in your body can not only cause weight gain but can have a negative effect on your energy levels.
Saturated fats can make you feel tired and have no positive effect on energy levels, they are a fat that you should avoid at all costs if you want more energy.

Good fats or unsaturated fats are the type of fats that you want to be consuming if you want higher energy levels and/or loss of fat. Foods containing these good fats are nuts, fruits and vegetables, chickpeas, pulses, beans and spreads containing olive oil.

Intelligence

British research shows that a child's IQ predicts their likelihood of becoming a vegetarian as a young adult. You guessed it: the smarter the child, the more likely they will eventually shun meat.
